Baltic Tech Park CEO Šarūnas Butkus presents the Baltic Digital Innovation Hub idea to AB Klaipėdos Nafta

On 19 June 2018, AB Klaipėdos Nafta organised the #KNDigital Innovation Afternoon, during which news in innovation and the Klaipėdos Nafta digital Industry 4.0 strategy were discussed. The event was attended by the heads of the company and key services, and company employees who are interested in news and innovations also participated. KN Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel Rytis Valūnas presented the KN business and digital strategy – TODAY, TOMORROW, 2030, and IT Manager Dr Aidas Šmaižys shared his impressions on the history of digital transformation and the international CEBIT-2018 expo. Representatives of Lithuanian Railways’ LG.DIGITAL Information Technology Competence Centre also participated in the event, and Baltic Tech Park CEO Šarūnas Butkus was invited to present the park’s new initiatives. Mr Butkus introduced the Baltic Digital Innovation Hub that is being initiated and developed by the park, and later participated in joint discussions with Klaipėdos Nafta innovators.

At the end of the event, Klaipėdos Nafta Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel Rytis Valūnas thanked everyone who attended, including Baltic Tech Park CEO Šarūnas Butkus, and noted that KN will seriously consider participating in the activities of the Baltic Digital Innovation Hub.
